Same Day Crowns

Up until a few years ago, the protocol for dental crowns were to take impressions and send off to a lab. While waiting for the final crown, the patient had to wear a temporary crown until the permanent restoration was ready from the lab. This process could take anywhere from one to three weeks and multiple visits for the patient. Since 2018, we at Otero Family, Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry have received numerous training sessions and hands-on continuing education hours to fabricate same-day CEREC crowns for our patients!

Same-Day CEREC Crowns
Thanks to the CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) assistive technology utilized in our office, Dr. Otero is typically able to diagnose an issue, create the crown, and fit it all in a single appointment.

This state-of-the-art CEREC system uses 3D photography and CAD/CAM technology to assist Dr. Otero in designing your custom crown without the need to take impressions. The milling unit then builds the restoration quickly and efficiently while you wait comfortably in our office.
