Misael Otero, DDS
After earning his Bachelor’s of Arts at the University of Florida, Dr. Misael attended New York University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree. He has achieved Diplomate status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, becoming one of only five dentists in North Carolina to receive such an honor. Stephanie Arredondo, DMD
Dr. Arredondo was born and raised in New York City. She later attended dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. She brings with her five years of valuable experience practicing dentistry in Beaufort, South Carolina. In addition to her clinical skills, Dr. Arredondo is fluent in English, Spanish, and French, allowing her to effectively communicate and connect with patients from diverse backgrounds. She is passionate about giving back to her community and has participated in several NC Missions of Mercy and SC Dental Access Days throughout the years.
Dr. Arredondo and her husband recently relocated to the Wilmington area, where they are excited to explore the local beaches and restaurants. When she is not at work, Dr. Arredondo enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking, photography, and boating with their dog, Dune.

Our Team
Dr. Misael spent months interviewing potential candidates for their front and back office staff. It was a long process, but one he was happy to undertake because he had only one thought in mind: a positive experience for his patients, from the first phone call to the final follow-up. He was looking for compassionate staffers who understand what a visit to the dentist means to people. He wanted a front desk staff that were friendly and flexible and dental hygienists and assistants who were knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of dental care. Dr. Otero believes he has found exactly the right people to compliment the staff. This outstanding team of care providers pledges to treat everyone with professionalism, friendliness, and respect. Crystal, Registered Dental Hygienist
Crystal has been practicing Dental Hygiene for twenty-seven years and has been with our practice for ten. She received her Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene degree from Coastal Community College. Crystal has been married to John for twenty-five years and together they have two kids, Tyler and Madison. In her free time, Crystal and her family love going out on the boat and spending time gardening.
Natalyn, Registered Dental Hygienist
Natalyn has been practicing Dental Hygiene since 2012 and has been with our practice since 2014. She graduated from Cape Fear Community College with degrees in Education, Arts, and Dental Hygiene. Natalyn is an avid runner and loves gardening in her spare time. Married to Kenny for nine years, their lives revolve around their daughter, staying active, and spending time outside.
Jessica, Registered Dental Hygienist
Jessica joined our team in 2021 and has been practicing Dental Hygiene for sixteen years. She received her Dental Hygiene degree from Coastal Community College in 2005. She has been married to Tim for seventeen years and together they have two kids, Emily and Nathan, and their Boxer, Josie. Jessica loves to spend her free time out on the water, boating with her family, along with gardening and yard work.
Veronica, Certified Dental Assistant
Veronica has been a Dental Assistant since 2007 and has been with our practice since 2012. She graduated from Cape Fear Community College as a Certified Dental Assistant. Originally born in New Jersey, she was raised in Southport, NC. When she’s not bringing smiles to patients, she enjoys the quaint little town of Southport, Nascar racing & spending time with her 2 furbabies Benji & Onyx!
April, Certified Dental Assistant
April has been a Dental Assistant since 2012 and has been with our practice since 2022. She was born and raised in Hampstead, so naturally she loves to spend her free time on the boat and in the sun! April has a precious sidekick named Hank who is her chocolate lab fur baby.
Faith, Dental Assistant
Faith joined our team in 2021. Originally from northwest North Carolina, she loves spending her free time outdoors and anywhere on the water. She has two fur babies named Keke and Baby. Faith has been a Dental Assistant for one year and graduated from EDUDent College of Dental Assisting.
Andrea, Office Manager
From treatment planning to patient care, Andrea has been working with our team for seven years. She loves traveling and exploring the country with her husband in their self renovated sprinter van. She also enjoys spending time at home with their three dogs, gardening, and raising chickens.
Joan, Patient Concierge
Joan has been at our office for seven years and is the first face you see when you walk in the door! Originally from Massachusetts, she is the proud mother of four children and eight grandchildren. Joan enjoys gardening, spending time outside, and traveling to see family.
Christy, Insurance Specialist
Christy began working with us in 2019 and has been working in the dental field for eighteen years. She moved to the area with her husband, Chris, from Central Virginia. In their spare time, they love to search for shark’s teeth and sea glass on Topsail Island.
